Feeling great!

So today I decided to skip the working out at home.  I hit the gym! (house was a total wreck from Halloween yesterday and I so didn't want to clean before I worked out). I am very happy with today's workout!  I feel AWESOME!! 767 calories burnt baby! Woohoo! It was the best I've done so far almost did 4.5 miles.

I did learn that dancing on the elliptical isn't a good idea. I almost fell off of it again.  One day I will... Going to have to get my dance on elsewhere lol!

So had my shake for breakfast and I'm eating an egg sandwich for lunch.  Mmmm.

Trying to blog from the app on my phone so this will be short because I'm still figuring it out lol.

Just say NO

Well, one day I will get this workout/lose weight thing under control.

I have been working out at least 3 days a week (usually 4), so there is a start. I started going to the gym because I quit working out at home because my husband was home during my work out times. He's not here right now, so I think I will do the at home workouts until he comes back. It's very easy to workout when I take my youngest to school. I drop her off and then go to the gym (well, home today). I tell you what though, it's SO much different doing Turbo Jam than it is doing the elliptical. My muscles hurt a bit right now, and I only did 30 minutes! No, I didn't burn as many calories as the elliptical, but I sure did use more muscles!!

Another reason why I am only getting in 3 this week is because my grandmother is very ill and in critical condition, Monday night and Tuesday there was a possibility that I was going to go home to be with her. She is making progress and getting better, still in critical condition but I'm taking it one day at a time and deciding by the information that I get.

So...back to "getting healthy"...I am doing "ok" at the working out (I could workout more, which I will!)...the eating on the other hand. OMG. Sucking majorly at that one! It's HALLOWEEN time...and guess what is out there. CANDY!!! So, I've been pigging out on caramels and tootsie rolls :( I'm going to do my best to not eat too much...and really do my best to not eat the kids candy! Oye!

So...My tip for the day....Think about what you eat (I really need to do this...so we can do it together!). If you are going to feel guilty after eating something, and you know this before you shove it in your mouth...PUT IT DOWN!! This is my goal for the rest of the week....Saying no to the stuff I know I don't need to eat. Which it is fitting because it's "Red Ribbon" week at my kids schools...Just say NO!

OHHHHH!!! Reminds me of a Shakeology recipe!! Going to have to make it tomorrow and post it :) Super yummy for the fall season! :)

I will do this!!

So, I have 100% been slacking. I have gained all the weight I lost when my husband was deployed...and then some (more than likely). I'm terrified to step on the scale. I don't want to know.

My youngest goes to preK soon and I will be working out in my alone time. Tuesdays to Fridays! I will also be making a healthy breakfast for us (she won't eat at school like my oldest). Then I plan on a shake for lunch. Followed by a healthy dinner. I'm determined to have this work!

I have also made a tip jar. Every time I workout I will place $1 in the jar. Then when I get to my goal weight I will have  money for new clothes. I am also going to print of pictures of styles I like as incentive and place them in the jar too. That way, when I get to my goal I will be able to see what I like and go from there. I WILL DO THIS!

Both kids are going to be in school, hubby will be going to NTC and deploying soon. If I keep it up and do this by the time he comes home I will be at my goal weight!

Planning on weighing in on Mondays (which is one of the days that I won't be working out). Then Tuesday to Friday will workout, possibly working up to Monday-Friday, but with the youngest home it's harder to workout (plus with hubby home in the am, I don't like working out in front of people).

My birthday is fast approaching!

Yup, that's right. My birthday is 9 days away. I'm very disappointed to say that I am no where near my goal weight. I'm only human though, I'm not perfect. The only thing I can hope to do is learn from my mistake and push on. Hopefully all the illness will be done for a while. Last year it seemed like my kids were sick all the time. We all just got done with strep throat, and now my oldest has the stuffy nose again.

It will be great to see a loss of something by my birthday :) I'd LOVE to have inches lost somewhere (preferably around my belly and waist). I have yet to go buy a scale, or step on the Wii scale. I don't want to rely on the number, but rather how my clothes fit. I have a pair of pants that I'm dying to have them fit perfectly.

Took the weekend off of working out, I was so sore. Today I did Cardio Power & Resistance. Still didn't get through it without taking a lot of breaks...and now I'm tired! But I managed to burn 397 calories :) Only thing I can do is keep doing it and hopefully it will get better.

Going to go drink me a shake for lunch, get a tiny cat nap in, and then clean the house. It really needs it! Might throw in some MW3 too.

Recovery?

Today was Cardio Recovery...and let me tell you, there wasn't much recovery at all! My legs are SO sore right now! I can hardly sit down without them shaking. Squats are not my friend today.

Had a yummy breakfast though :) Scrambled eggs with diced onion, green pepper, and tomato. Super good! I take the Jenny Craig idea (I think it was Jenny) and don't "count" my veggies. They tell their clients (so Valerie Burtinelli said in something I read) that the veggies are unlimited...UNLIMITED!!! They also have a soup that you can make that is...UNLIMITED! I wish I had the recipe for it because it sounded super delicious.

I'm doing pretty good with my eating. Not eating too much, and I have to say I'm not starving either. I do know that if I continue to use my Shakeology as my lunch I really need to get healthy snacks for between lunch and dinner. I haven't done terrible, ate some cheese nips yesterday but it was like 300 calories worth of "snack". I need veggies or yogurt or something.

I am looking forward to seeing results this time around. I'm going to make it happen! I didn't mention, but the last time I went to the doctor I had gained 7 pounds :( I also have gained inches around my waist, belly, and hips. IT HAS GOT TO GO!

Seen something interesting the other day.

So sore!

Wow! Just did the second day of Insanity and I hurt EVERYWHERE!! It's a good thing I don't have to do much for dinner tonight, I tried to get a pan out for breakfast and it hurt really bad LOL. Managed to burn 427 calories somehow though. I was trying to push through but I just couldn't do it full on. Next week I should be able to do it at 100%!

Enjoying sitting on the couch though...and drinking a Chocolate Banana shake :) Yummo!

Well, I'm off to die a little more!! (litterally...I'm taking a break and playing MW3 online, just got hooked up with my own game account :))

Starting over...again...for the second time.

Well, I hit a huge road block. I got through a month of Insanity and quit. I also quit drinking my Shakeology every day. I'm getting back on track though. Just did day one of Insanity :) Going to drink a shake for lunch :) I am doing it this time. Everyone has set backs, some are longer than others. The thing is, you have to get yourself out of it and PUSH PLAY! It took me longer to get out of the set back than I intended but I'm here!

I burnt 557 calories in 43 minutes! 12.9 calories a minute! I'm only going to get better too!

Another good thing is that on Valentines day Shakeology is coming out with their new flavor FINALLY! I am so excited to try it! Check it out, they are super yummy shakes, and you can add things to make them even yummier. :)  Down there is the video, I have never added one to my blog before and not sure how to do it the way I wanted it...but this is what the shakes have in them. SO much easier than eating all that in one day if you ask me LOL. 3 day cleanse? Gonna try it!

So there is a 3 day cleanse that you can do to help jump start your weight loss, or get you past the plateau that you are stuck on.

So, I did a month of Insanity and didn't get much results at all. So, going to do a 3 day cleanse and hopefully start with Insanity again and have AMAZING results.

Here is the gist:
 Essentials:
3 Shakeology shakes per day
2 cups of green tea per day
1 or 2 pieces of fruit per day (optional)
1 salad for dinner—can include fish or poultry
No dairy or extra sugars (this includes almond and soy milk)!
Drink 2 to 4 liters of water every day
Only use low-fat dressings, and go easy on the salt and/or pepper to taste
2 snacks before/after any of the major meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner)
Fruit is optional, and it is discouraged (however, some of you will need the calories while others may not)
For maximum results, do NOT use any additives in your food
Dinner salad may include WHITE GRILLED PROTEIN—poultry or fish only
1 cup of green tea
Here is a sample menu:
BREAKFAST:
Shakeology – 1 scoop, blended with ice & 8-10 oz of water
Optional: Add ½ cup of fruit (Only for those who are already fit)
SNACK:
1 piece of fruit
LUNCH:
Shakeology – 1 scoop, blended with ice & 8-10 oz of water
1 cup of green tea
SNACK:
Shakeology – 1 scoop, blended with ice & 8-10 oz of water
(This snack can be before or after dinner)
DINNER:
Salad
- Lettuce/veggies
- 4 oz lean protein (WHITE fish or poultry)
- Light Dressing

So, here is how I'm planning on doing it (because I'm not a big fruit person)

Shake for breakfast and some sort of fruit.

Some veggies for a snack

Shake for lunch

More veggies

Shake

Salad and chicken/fish for dinner (possibly more veggies)

Also, lots and lots of water. 

We will see how it works. Hopefully it works GREAT. I'm also going to walk on the treadmill for like 20 minutes a day. Not going to do a major workout while not eating much during the day.

Do you like Pumpkin Pie???

I decided to try the recipe today for the Honey Pumpkin Spice Shakeology. It's not that bad. It has been a while since I've eaten pumpkin pie to begin with, but it tastes pretty close to actual pumpkin pie! Try it and let me know what you think! :)

Been a while.

I haven't written in a while.

Still doing Insanity! Getting better at it, but it is still whooping my butt! Getting a little discouraged though, I had lost an inch off my waist and belly, and today I have gained inches. I'm not even going to weigh myself. I don't want to get even more upset when I do it and it doesn't go down (or worse...go up!). I'm going to keep pushing through though that's for sure! I will not give up!

I am going to sit here and reevaluate my diet...I'm pretty sure that has a LOT to do with the fact that I'm not losing. We will see how it goes though. I am still drinking my Shakeology. I have to say, I do feel like I'm more energized. I get more things done during the day than I use to. My house is generally pretty clean, I don't take naps anymore...it's nice.

I really need to kick it into gear though. December 1st there is a military ball that the hubby and I are going to go to. I can not wait but I want to look AMAZING for it! SO! No more junk (which I don't eat much junk anyway, just drink stupid Mt.Dew and that will be stopping soon)! More veggies and fruits along with my shakes. Also, I'm thinking about adding in walking on the treadmill 3 times a week. Possibly in the evenings, it's too cold to go outside at night and walk. Not sure if I'd want to do it before or after dinner though. Will have to see how it all works when I start (next week probably).

Almost a week down!

I have 2 more days of Insanity this week and I will be done with week one! Woohoo! I have my before picture taken, not really loving it, but I can not wait to see what my 60 day picture is going to look like!

Weighed myself the other day, I'm already down 2.2 pounds :) WOOHOOOOO!!!! Thank you Shaun T and Shakeology! I so can not wait to try the new flavor! I've been drinking my shake daily!

My calf muscles hurt so bad right now (for a few days now actually) and my arms have finally started to hurt. I'm going to throw in the stretching DVD from ChaLEAN Extreme today.

So, day 1 of Insanity was the Fit Test. I didn't do so bad on that one. Day 2 KILLED me. I couldn't breathe! Day 3, not so bad I made it through with no problems (well, a few problems, but not as much as day 2). Day 4 was a "recovery" type workout. Had stretching in it, only problems I had was my legs already hurt and we did squats and lunges and he wanted us to HOLD the position forever! I was dying on that one. The rest was ok. Tomorrow, Pure Cardio........not sure what that's about. Going to pop in the DVD and watch it here shortly. Have a feeling I'm gonna die again. LOL. It's all worth it though :) I'm gonna look HAWT!

I'm going to go ahead and share my before photo (hopefully it will push me to do this and I will have great results and in 30 days I can post a better looking me, then in 60 days and even BETTER looking me).

40" hips
38" chest
29% body fat

All those stats hav gone up a little since June :( but that is my own fault. I stopped working out because I got busy with my husband getting ready to come home from Afghanistan. I started working out again about a week ago (mainly to get me ready for Insanity). Like I said, I weighed myself the other day and I'm down to 151 (which is what I was when he came home). My goal is 125. Hopefully Insanity will help me get there!

It's going to take a lot of work but I know I can do it! I will "dig deeper" and will push through it all! This is for my health, and my family. I want to be able to play and run with my girls and have more energy to do things with them. They deserve a mom that will play with them and not just sit on the couch.

Fired up!!!

Can I just say....I am SUPER excited to start INSANITY!!

I tried the Fit Test yesterday (when I got the dvd's) and in 30 minutes I burnt 376 calories....OMG! So excited.

I also tried the Shakeology! It was pretty good! Going to try it today with coffee to make a Mocha Shakology :) *Love me some mocha!!*

My goal is to lose 28 more pounds (give or take). I know I can do it...and with Shakeology and Beachbody...I will definitely have a killer beach body! Baby fat BE GONE!! Stomach fat BE GONE!!! I am one size away from being out of double digit pants! SUPER excited about that. It has been FOREVER since I was in single digit! :)

I will get "before" pictures taken soon and get them posted. :)

You have to know what YOU want, and have your goals set. What is it YOU want to achieve? For me, I want better health for my family (I don't want to get the problems that "obese" people get since before losing weight *I* was obese!), I want to be able to do fun things with my kids (run and play and NOT get tired). I want to look good FOR MYSELF!!  If I feel good about myself, I'm a happier person, and will want to do more things with my family. :) Exercise helps me get there.

First 2 weeks.

So, last week was a good week for me. I worked out 4 days (which for me is good since I haven't worked out at all since the end of June). Did my TurboJam (which is a great workout!), also replaced my heart rate monitor! I was very happy about that. I have missed my old friend since I lost it in FEBRUARY!!! After I lost that was when my weight loss stopped going down as fast.

If you don't have one I highly suggest looking into it! I always use the ones that have the chest strap. It counts the calories that you burn during exercise. For 30 minutes of my Fat Blaster workout from TurboJam I burnt 279 calories! I have the sportline duo (same one that I had before that I lost). You can change the batteries yourself and don't have to send it off and pay an arm and a leg to have someone else do it. I have a Polar HRM but it's going to cost $54 plus shipping both ways to replace both batteries. For that price I just got a new one.

So, this week I am concentrating on eating better (or just eating at least 3 meals). I'm going to get my Shakeology on Thursday! I'm so excited to try it out! I will definitely let you know how that goes!
